small bumps all over my burnt skin after sunburn. is that normal healing phase?

Inflammation: After a sunburn, there is inflammation which then causes swelling.  Pockets of swelling are the little bumps you feel.  If the sunburn is severe, then we develop blisters, with top layer of skin is separated and becomes fluid filled.  For this reason, if you knew you had too much sun, taking Ibuprofen and applying aloe immediately can potentionally reduce its severity.

BLISTERS?: Without pictures you could have blisters characteristic of sun burns or some pimples or an infection. Best to wear sun block and get checked by your doctor soon. Good luck.

Poss folliculitis: This may be folliculitis (inflammation/infection of the hair follicles.).  It can resolve by itself, and warm compresses/topical antibiotics (like Bacitracin) may be helpful. If severe, it may need to be seen by a physician.

Sun Burn: If you have extensive blistering then please seek medical care. O/w consider hydrating well with water. Aloe vera  gel directly from the plant can accelerate healing. Cool compresses can also help with pain. Take care.

Nerve healing: A decompression and sometimes let the nerves heal and cause a hypersensitivity.  Also, increased activity and make this sensation from the skin and muscle use.  Time is the solution with increasing your activity of walking over the next month.

is it ok to use bio oil on a healing sunburn on my face to help hydrate because my skin is so dry? aloe does nothing and lotions aren't allowed.

Yes: Yes but you could also use vaseline.

1 mo s/p acdf c5-c6. getting red blotches over area of/near fusion. it burns on the spots then my skin peels like sunburned while healing. can this be a reaction to titanium plate? i have titanium in jaw and never had any problems?

Must evaluate: There may be a local inflammatory reaction or infection. Please see your physician. Monitor temperature and watch for signs of infection.

Edema: Swelling of skin structures from the trauma of the radiation burn. Any trauma to skin (thermal, infectious, chemical or physical), will show similar results depending on degree on injury.
