It's normal: A small anterior fontanel is an otherwise healthy baby is generally no problem at all -- and the same goes for large anterior fontanels. They do sometimes go along with other medical conditions, but those conditions are generally obvious enough that parents would generally already be aware of them. Usually a small fontanel is just normal.

Small fontanelle: As long as the skull is growing normally i wouldnt be concerned about the size of the fontanelle.

? Problem: Normally closed by now.You need to be sure that the skull is not expanding due to increased intracranial pressure.Tis potentially can be dangerous.Ask your pediatrician.

No scientific reason: I can't think of a scientific reason for this, nor do I know the age of your baby.   It is not unusual for babies to develop a "cradle cap" rash which can have a distinct smell.   Are there scaly patches on the babies scalp?   If you see nothing, then I would not give it a second thought.   In fact, the best thing for the " cradle cap" rash is to ALSO do nothing!  Enjoy your baby!

Possibly: Early closure of sutures in infants with microcephaly (abnormally small head) is not true craniosynostosis.

4-26 months is the: Range of closure of the anterior fontanelle. If he has no increased intracranial pressure, congenital hypothyroidism, or skeletal anomalies, it's probably an "outlier." early-onset hyperactivity is seen with family history of adhd, prenatal exposure to drugs & alcohol, & some genetic syndromes. Does india have an early intervention program that can help you by assessing his development?

why the overpressure on the anterior fontanelle by neonatal brain ultrasound cause bradycardia of the neonate?

Cushing reflex : Increased intracranial pressure from any cause at any age &amp; decreased  blood flow to certain parts of the brain can cause Cushing's triad: increased blood pressure, irregular breathing, &amp; bradycardia. Since a neonate's skull bones aren't fused, increased pressure causes the fontanelle to bulge. Doctors will determine the cause - hydrocephalus, bleeding, infection, etc. &amp; reduce the pressure ASAP.
