Infection: Some of this depends upon the type of chest pain you are experiencing.  If it hurts when you take a deep breath and is localized you need to see a doctor.  Some chest  pain may be due to muscular attachments being stretched by coughing.  If you are short of breath, have change in color or consistency of the sputum, fever keeps going up - please see a doctor.  Hope you are better.

Symptoms: Suspicion for COVID 19 is higher if you have at least 2 of these symptoms:  temp of at least 99.6, Cough, Shortness of breath, Chills, Shivering, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat or new loss of taste or smell. Your symptoms could be from a variety of causes (to include COVID 19). A telemedicine assessment can help to determine if testing is indicated.

Smoking: Don't!  this is a common cause of persistence of bronchitis because it interferes with several of the immune mechanisms the tracheobronchial tree uses to prevent or minimize infection. To say nothing of all the other problems cigarettes cause.

Possibilities....: Possible etiologies of this cough include bronchospasm from any cause, gerd, post-nasal drip or a combination of factors. These all have entirely different treatments so you need to see a doctor for diagnosis/treatment. A lung doctor could definitely treat this cough so you may need to be referred to a lung specialist.

Follow up : Thr exposure time was extremely short, but your symptoms are definitely suggesting airway inflammation, hypersensitivity pneumonitis like. Would suggest follow- up with your PCP. Pulmonary function tests as well as a steroid inhaler trial to be anticipated.

Possibly: It may just be bronchitis.  However there is a real possiblitiy that it is a pneumonia.  Pneumonia does not always present with feve, chest pain and shortness of breath - it usually does though.  See your physician, you might need a chest xray. Best wishes.
