i sleep on my side and don't change position much. i wake to find pain in my inner ear. if i switch sides it happens in other ear. why? i'm 51 female.

Tmj: I suspect TMJ (jaw joint). Especially if you clench/grind night or day Other TMJ symptoms included pain or limited opening, joint noises. If this is you, see a TMJ expert Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.

i have an inner ear infection and it hurts to lay down. what can i do for pain so i can sleep and lay back?

Types  Ear infection: 3 types of ear infections: outer, middle &inner.  Inner ear infection involves the balance system and people get very dizzy.   Outer ear infection involves the outer ear and ear canal.  It can be very painful.  There is usually swelling and drainage of the ear.  Middle ear involves the ear drum and middle ear space.  There is pain, muffled hearing etc.  For pain: advil, (ibuprofen) or tylenol+warm compress.

sleep with ear plugs every night, change them 1x monthly. inner ear itchy hurt and peeling by end of month. what should i be doing? go to my dermatologist ?

Ear plugs: are associated with a buildup of WAX (Cerumen) in the ear canal... You should have your ears examined since this does not usually result in itchiness.(more likely due to a  "dandruff - like condition of the ears/scalp (seborrhea)

ENT: Dizziness with headaches is very debilitating.  Really need to see an ENT doctor who can do a thorough history and examination, possibly some testing.

misdiagnosed for anxiety/psycosis vs stress and lack of sleep inner ear infect and given lorazapam and then anti depressants could you cause l/t issue?

Lorazepam: Hoping your ears are feeling better now.  No, being given Lorazepam in the er would not have caused a long term issue.  It would also not be unusual for someone to have both depression/anxiety and an ear infection . . . With both needing treatment.  Antidepressants combined with psychotherapy are helpful for the first, and generally an antibiotic for the second.  If off Lorazepam now, no problem.

Pillow under knees: Sciatica pain is most severe when the legs are straight so sleep on your back with a pillow rolled up and placed underneath your knees.

Dizziness: Vertigo or a sense of dizziness can develop with some chronic diseases, age, or during and after a viral illness.  Your have had the correct procedures.  You might consider being evaluated by an otorhinolaryngologist (ENT) physician.  Few medications actually help.  
Dramamine, often used for sea sickness is often useful but rest and trying to stare at a fixed object when you feel dizzy helps many.

how does amoxicillin help inner ear problem?

It probably won't: Amoxicillin is an antibiotic, useful for bacterial infections.  It is not prescribed usually for inner ear problems.  It would be appropriate for a middle ear infection, an acute otitis media.  This is what most people mean when they say "ear infection."  see you local ENT if your problem does not resolve.
