No: As long as you are comfortable on the floor and can fall into deep sleep, sleeping on the floor shouldn't matter.  There is nothing special about a bed except padding and support.  But if you like a firm mattress anyway, there may not be much difference to sleeping on the floor if you put a little padding down.

MoreComplicatedIssue: First, if you have to sleep on the floor try and get some form of firm cushioning even if it's only putting a few towels or blankets down.That would be better than sleeping on a too-soft mattress.Second, that's not usually the cause of "sciatica,"if that's actually what you have (there are a lot of mimics).What do you do with the 'x' number of hours that you're awake?Sit all day? Lift stuff?

Doubtful: It is doubtful that sleeping on the floor would help. Sleeping with a pillow under your neck may help. Physical therapy or chiropractic care may help relieve your pain.

Back pain: Warm moist heat (shower or a wet warm towel) can help reduce the pain and stiffness. Anti-inflammatory medications such as aspirin can help too. Apply ice at night to reduce swelling. Perhaps, you can find a more comfortable place sleep tonight.

The bad news: you may be sore in the morning and it's not safe to take Ibuprofen while pregnant - only tylenol (acetaminophen).  I hope your bed comes soon!
