Yes: Yes. Chest pain in lupus can come from many different causes. Pleuritis, chest pain due to inflammation of the tissue surrounding the lung, is a diagnostic criteria for systemic lupus erythematosus. Patients with lupus can also get indigestion, pneumonia, blood clots, heart disease etc. That also cause chest pain.

Possible, not common: SLE is a great masquarader to cause a variety of different symptoms in different people, including regulation of body temperature if parts of brain controlling temp is affected.
