: How old was the scar before it reopened.?  If it was over a year old, normal healing should take place. A wound specialist can evaluate and advise you if the new wound isn't healing well.

Healing scars: A scar means that the tissues have healed.  There will be remodeling of it for many months depending on what stresses it undergoes.  Regarding skin dryness, using a moisturizing cream or lotion will help best.  Lotions have more water content and are absorbed faster.  Creams last longer but work more slowly.  Ointments use petroleum jelly protect but usually do not add much moisture to the skin.

i scrubbed my face too hard and skin came off, how long will it take to heal and what should i do for faster healing? will it scar?

TLC: Take it easy on the tissue now that it is irritated. Use only mild soap for washing and you may want to apply light coating of a snd d ointment a couple of times a day. Scarring not likely. Keep clean and protected and keep from getting dry. Do not use vaseline. Good luck.

i got scars from skin picking dark spots and white ones that are kind of bumpy. is it possible to heal them with dermaroller? (sh scars included) well my sh scars have a slightly white line but are kind of brown, some turned white tho?

: The best thing to do is to see a dermatologist as there are treatments to lessen scars. A certain treatment can only be recommended by seeing the scars. So, see a dermatologist. Good luck!

Scar RX: There is silicone sheets from cica care, there are creams like Mederma and kelocote.  Cortisone injections into the scar tissue also reduces scar formation.

i got buned on my arm(oven element).some places got burned deeper.i applied burnshield and after that silbecor.almost 2 weeks passed.looks better. deeper parts stil have a crust on.the skin looks like it is indented.what can i aplly to help scar heal?

Burn Healing: If you still have a crust at 2 weeks, the burn there is either a deep second degree or third degree. Treatment is simply to keep it from getting infected and allowing it enough time for the body to heal it. There is essentially nothing else that has been proven to improve healing or the eventual scar. See someone if it starts thickening over time as this can be treated.

i had a cut on my lip and i was putting peroxide on it but i learned that kills new skin cells.  i'm now using mederma for the scar but it doesn't look like it's going to heal the scar.  any other suggestions or is the tissue too dead from the peroxide?

You are right: Full strength peroxide is toxic to new cell growth but generally won't destroy already living tissue.  So you probably had some tissue that was already borderline in healing due to the injury.  I don't usually recommend Mederma until the skin has healed or epithelialized.

my skin doesn't heal normally and leaves a bad harsh scar when i burn,scratch,blister,bruise or one of my pimples pop.it takes 1-2 months to heal.why?

Keloid: Keloid tissue is an overgrowth of scar tissue after an injury.  A skin specialist, a Dermatologist, should be able to help.
