No: Newborns, especially those born after their due date tend to have peeling skin within the first two weeks of life. This is a normal process and is not cause for alarm, nor does it require treatment or skin moisturizer. The peeling will soon give way to baby soft skin. Once you start bathing your baby, you can follow her bath with small amount of fragrance free lotion if needed.

Dry flakey skin after radiation treatment is generally treated with moisturizing creams/ointments like Aquaphor.If the skin is open, you need to see the radiation oncologist for evaluation and management. It is important to keep the wound clean and to prevent infection. Most peeling heals nicely within a few weeks. Again, your rad onc doctor is expert treating this.

This side effect can often resolve or can be alleviated with a simple noncomedogenic moisturizer. Good question.

Itchy feet: Dry and itchy scaly feet is usually caused by a fungus and is most likely athletes foot. You need to purchase an over-the-counter antifungal medication and apply to your feet on a daily basis for proximally 3 to 4 weeks. If your symptoms do not resolve you may need a prescription antifungal cream. See a podiatrist for further evaluation.
