Allodynia: If the skin is sore to touch then it's not likely a urinary problem. Sometimes shingles can present this way. Is there any rash?  Talk to your doctor about this possibility and that the antibiotics aren't helping.

Blood clot: Blood clots may cause a spectrum of symptoms depending on the location and size. In extremities, blood clots can cause symptoms such as pain and swelling. In the lungs, blood clots can cause shortness of breath and chest pain. Because blood clots commonly involve deep vessels skin changes aren't usually seen.

HighTSH: High TSH is consistent w/ hypothyroidism.May  be subclinical hypothyroidism ,ince  TSH is hi,  T4 normal . Fatigue is hypotwould  not the fast metabolism, usually hypothyroidism is slow. But in Hashimotos disease where you have thyroid antibodies you can have periods of hyperthyridism before it burns out into hypothyrodism, Check thyroid peroxidase ab consider selenium suppl. F/Uw/doc

my white blood cells count was 2.8 and today its 2.5, seems to be going down for some reason. cause for concern? no symptoms, healthy. all other labs normal?

: A differential of the WBC would be helpful to know if a particular white cell is decreased. You should see a hematologist for an evaluation to be certain you do not have a particular deficiency that would need to be monitored and/or put you at risk for certain infections. Good luck!

: White cells include neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, monocytes and lymphocytes. Monocytes are larger than others. Any condition causing monocytosis will give large white cells and any immature cells in peripheral blood can also give large white cells . Usually leukocytosis which is increased number of white cells is a concern. Hope it helps.

Yes it can on occasi: Advanced cancer can be associated with high white blood cell(wbc) count. It is called a para-neoplastic syndrome and is felt to be due to chemicals released from cancer cells which then stimulate production of wbcs.

Proteinuria/pyuria: Leucocytes are white blood cells (wbcs).  So, high protein and high wbcs equals infection until proven otherwise by a negative urine culture.  Take infection out of the equation, then some time or damage to the kidney filters is next on my list, but when this happens there is usually red cells in the urine.  This takes me back to urine infection or some other type of genitourinary infection.

Competition: Aids has as a primary target, the white cells involved in defense against invading organisms.  So it neutralizes the very cells which might be used to defend against it.  The battle is a competition between the reproduction of the aids virus and the ability of the patient to manufacture un affected white cells which can attack the virus.
