Nose bleeds: Overuse of decongestants can dry your mucosa out and your mouth would be dry.
Overuse of steroid nasal sprays can cause nosebleeds.
Overuse of antibiotic can cause resistance to bacteria.
Everything in moderation.
In the right combination and amount it can be very effective.

Not recommended: Antibiotics are not recommended for sinus infections unless they are unusually long-lasting or severe. Use decongestants.

Depends on extent: A true sinus infection should be treated with a quinolone antibiotic such as Avelox or levaquin (levofloxacin).

Good drug: It may not be long enough sinus infections require at least 10 days of antibiotic often you see no change for at least 3 days. If this continues see your doctor to change the antibiotic. Unless you are penicillin allergic augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) works well

Usually none: Antibiotics are not recommended for the majority of sinus infections, which are typically caused by viruses and get better on their own.  When antibiotics are used for cases that are particularly severe or prolonged, the standard recommendation is Amoxicillin for those not allergic to penicillin.

It depends: That depends on whether you have a sinus infection or a cold.  How long have you had symptoms?  Most sinus infections are caused by colds.  A cold is a viral infection, and antibiotics won't help.  A sinus infection is a complication of a cold, and generally takes 10 to 14 days to develop.  Don't wait longer than 3 weeks for an antibiotic, and seek help immediately for neckstiffness, eye swelling.

Can take time!: Sinus infections are stubborn, and can take a while to treat. As you've found, your ears may feel blocked, too. Using Normal Saline nose drops can help. Over-the-counter saline sprays are marketed as "simply sinus" or "little noses" - marketed for kids. Guaifeniscen (sold as the brand mucinex) can loosen secretions and make you more comfortable. See your doctor if the ear blockage persists.
