Could be: Bleeding for a week is never a good thing. You may have a sinus infection but a presenting symptom of that isn't typically bleeding. I'd suggest a visit to your primary healthcare provider for an evaluation and recommendations for follow-up.

And your proof: That it is not an infection? Allergy, autoimmunity may cause inflammation, but green slime sounds like infection, either bacteria or fungi.  Get a culture and post the proof. See an ENT doc for management, possibly including surgical exploration and drainage.

Stomach problem: it is unlikely that your stomach problem is due to sinus infection. You may have problem with acid reflux (gastritis) please see your physician. You may use Zantac (ranitidine) 150 mg (or Prilosec) both available over the counter

Need Antibiotics: Sinuses are air filled spaces that surround the nasal cavity, if infection gets in theses cavities than you have sinus infection.If you have sinus infection you need to see your doctor to make sure you have sinus infection and if so, you will need to be treated with proper course of antibiotics.So consult your doctor.

Yes: Normally a sinus infection has discolored drainage but clear drainage is also possible.  An infection depends on the symptoms over time.  Viral and bacterial symptoms are very similar.  Even most bacterial infections clear without antibiotics.  Consider antibiotics if symptoms worsening after 10-14 days, or persist more than 3-4 weeks.  Most virus all infections clear after 10-14 days.

i am on cefixime 400mg/day for 10 days for sinus infection. it is day 4 and my mucus is still green. when will i start feeling better?

: Sinusitis symptoms and discharge often are caused more by viral infection or by allergy or nonspecific irritation. Bacterial infection often is a minor player, in which case antibiotics have no effect. They're almost always tried in hope they will help, but often do not. Take the full 10 days, but if still not improved by then, discuss with your doctor. Also try nasal saline or degongestant spray.

Sinusitis: This condition seldom requires antibiotic therapy. Try using a saline irrigation with a Neti-pot (see your pharmacist), along with a decongestant like pseudoephedrine or oxymetozaline. This may help. Hope you are better soon.

hi, for the last few days i've had a terrible sinus infection. for the last few hours i've been blowing out thick, green rubbery mucus that's making it difficult to breath. once i blow it out, i'm fine again.

No need to suffer: No need to suffer with this sinus infection. You need to treat two things: the opening of the sinus drainage and nasal saline, fluticasone can help, nothing wrong to use Oxymetazoline (Afrin) if is only for 3 days in a week. The second component is the infection, for that you need an antibiotic, for that a consult or video consult with your doctor might be needed.
