Sinusitis?: Recurring sinusitis is frequently over diagnoses and your symptoms suggest more a form of migraines where symptoms can be in your face, mental changes and autonomic changes with a runny nose. These tend to be of shorter duration (hours to few days) and more pulsating in nature. Sinusitis last longer  more than 7 day, with purulence and sometimes fever. A CT scan can help with acute symptoms.

Saline Flush: Home remedies include saline flush, humidifier, steam.   OTC antihistaminics might help.  Acetaminophen is good for headaches too.  If no improvement see PCP

Allergies : Allergies cause itching & tearing. Over-the-counter allergy medicine & eyedrops help relieve it. Zaditor (ketotifen) is a good eyedrop. Blepharitis also causes itching & this can you can try loraditine (claritin) or other previous prescription anti-allergy meds.  Check with your doctor if you have any medical conditions or are pregnant.

2. Medicines usually help if it is an allergy.

Head position?: I have not seen cases where acupuncture or acupressure have caused this type of problem. However, if a person is lying on their abdomen on a regular exam table  with face cradled in arms - it can exacerbate sense of congestion. Both acupressure and acupuncture treatments can help sinus pain & congestion.

Virus?: Possible that you have picked up some type of a virus. There are a lot of varieties going around now that's can make you feel pretty bad. The pimples might be coincidence unless you were sweating!
