Lower BP and lipids: Amlodipine is a good blood pressure agent, and Simvastatin a cholesterol agent.  There is no interaction between the two.  In fact, there is at least one product which has the two combined into one pill (caduet).  Should have no problems with that combination.

No: No. According to the epocrates drug resource, there are no interactions whatsoever between Simvastatin and felodipine.

Yes: No major interactions. But look for muscle aches with zocor (simvastatin).

Pravostatin maybe: There is an interaction between amlodipine and statin drugs which can cause a breakdown in muscle tissues. It is more common with Simvastatin than pravachol (pravastatin). The recommendations say Simvastatin dose should be 20mg or less if taking amlodipine. So both of your choices are ok. But assume risk slightly higher with simvastatin. Note Simvastatin maybe more effective in lowering cholesterol.

See details: I try not to use an NSAID such as Mobic (meloxicam) in individuals with high cardiac risk. Individuals with hypertension, hyperlipidemia and diabetes are considered high risk.

Simvastatin can: help lower cholesterol levels. The HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide), (hydrochlorothiazide) however, can cause increases in both glucose and cholesterol. There are other blood pressure medications which do not contain HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide). Discuss w/your doctor.

Change: Ii depends why your regimen changed. Could you go back to the old regimen and take Simvastatin + beta blocker.
Amlodipine can be taken any time of the day.

Contact your doctor: You may be experiencing side effects or drug to drug interactions but you should first check with your doctor to see if something else might be able to explain these symptoms as well.  Is the Metformin helping with your diabetes?
