hello, i have a weird thing underneath my tongue and it's red and painful at sometimes. it's at my tongue area called warton's ducts. help me please?

Salivary stone: It may be a salivary duct stone, in which case lemon drops or sour candy can enhance salivation and help clear it, but just in case it needs removal under local anesthesia or is another problem, please be examined by your dentist ASAP.

Get it checked: It could be normal pigmentation, an amalgam tattoo, or something that requires treatment. Get it looked at and biopsied if your doctor feels that is appropriate to be sure!

See Oral Surgeon: See an oral surgeon for an exam and consultation.  You may have an inflammation or infection in your salivary glands or a sialolith (salivary gland stone). The oral surgeon may either treat you or refer you to a physician for further evaluation.

can the parotid saliva duct suffer damage from multiple tooth extractions?

Unlikely: Stensen's duct travels from the parotid gland through the buccal fat pad & enters the oral cavity around the second molars - of the buccal mucosa & not around the extraction sites of the teeth.  However, conceivably, if an unusually large, & overly lateralized incision was made and/or tissue reflected, the duct could have been transected, crushed, or had partial obstruction due to edema post-op.

i have 2 very small red ulcer like sores on the whartons duct area of my tongue. it burns and hurts., also looks inflamed on left what could this be ?

Canker sore: If new, likely canker sore, treat with OTC meds, saline rinse, OTC analgesic solution. If present more than a week, may be something that needs attention. If so, see oral surgeon or ENT doc.

my whartons duct is red and a little swollen. and it hurts when i move my tongue up. should i be worried about this? also my mouth seems dry somtimes.

ridgeline like bumps running perpendicular to frenulum underneath tongue on both sides of mouth and one movable hard bump on floor of mouth underneath tongue. are they blocked salivary ducts? what could cause them? they are painless, just concerning.

Bumps: Could be minor salary glands. Hard lump could be stone in submandibular gland duct. Should have this checked by ENT as small salivary gland tumors can occur in floor of mouth

i had submand gland removed feb 2012, noticed puss in duct, ent, prescribed clendamycin, 3 days later, have swelling & pain under tongue $ chin.  ?

More information: Is the swelling on the same side where submandibular gland removed or the opposite side.
If the swelling on the opposite side , then it is an infection independent from your surgery and should respond to 7-10 days of Clindamycin , if the swelling is on the same side , do not expect to see pus from duct since the gland has been surgically removed, so can't give further recommendation.

i have had this squishy lump near my tongue on the floor of my mouth for years. it is mobile and not painful. an oral surgeon looked at it once and said it was probably my salivary gland duct? what does that mean? should i be worried?

Salivary cyst: It is most likely a benign salivary cyst. They can get bigger when they fill with fluid.  If it bothers your you should have it evaluated by an ENT doctor.

Call your dentist: Have your dentist check for stones in the duct. Sometimes you need to have an oral surgeon remove them if they don't go away on their own.
