That's a good strath: Hopefully it will help. If she has pain on the first few steps in the morning, a night splint ill help and generally speaking orthotics are good as well.

Contact allergy: I had 2 patients react to their cell phone covers, the markings follow that outline of the phone where you hold it against your cheek, so yes it is possible.

Nothing different: The implants will not change the way your are treated. And they will not interfere with treatment.

Minimal: At this point in time we do not think silicone  causes systemic illnesses. It can cause local problems at the site, which is why one should never have it injected. The newer silicone implants are safer, but difficult to tell if they are leaking. The only way to diagnose leaking silicone implants now is with an mri.

Only if a problem: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" but implants are mechanical devices that do eventually leak and require replacement. They are not considered lifetime devices but typically last a decade or even much longer.

Silicone implants.: Silicone implants are used more often today than previously.
There are 2-3 implant companies in the usa who make good, reliable implants.
Don't go to france.

No: We've been looking at inert foreign materials for over a century and the cancer risk seems near-zero except for a few older orthopedic implants that may have presented some small extra risk. To cause cancer, something needs to be able to either mutate dna or cause preposterously increased cell turnover.

Yes: This is an excellent option for hypertrophic scars before trying something like steriod injections. The trick is to wear the sheets essentially 24/7. It will take several months for the results to show. Patience is a virtue :-).

Talk to Oral Surgeon: It's not just the disc, but also the ligaments that keep the disc in place.  Most important to find out why disc has become damaged and treat that problem first, then disc repositioning or replacement can be considered.  Please talk to 1) Oral Surgeon to determine health of the joint, and 2) Orthodontist to determine contribution of your occlusion to your joint degeneration.

Not related: While patients may experience varying degrees of hypersensitivity , particularly of the nipple in the immediate post operative period, hypersensitivity to touch should not be related to the presence of the implant unless complicated by migration into the axilla.
