Accepted Answer

Not usually: Bacteria and yeast are common causes of vaginal discharge.  Having a vaginal discharge  doesn't mean that a person is pregnant.  If you think you might be pregnant, do a home pregnancy test.  If you are having a vaginal discharge, see your doctor to be evaluated to see if you need to be treated.

i have all the signs of pregnancy and i have had 2 negative tests. could they show negative because of having pcos or what else could be wrong?

Doubt pregnancy: The symptoms are pregnancy are only presumptive and cannot be relied upon solely in lieu of negative pregnancy tests. Why you are having those is a different story that needs to be investigated with appropriate history and physical exam.

3 days of positive opk. periods are very regular every 31 days.  would this be a sign of pcos?  i have had 3 pregnancies.

Not likely: PCOS patients often won't ovulate.  Your kits just turn positive at a level of urinary LH (leutenizing hormone).  If the level is positive over a couple days its ok and relatively common.

See your GYN: The preg test can be repeated and get other hormone blood work and an ultrasound,  and you can get on a diet assuming you are not preg, i offer my patients the HCG diet with 500 calories a day to lose wt, it is not fda approved but is safe , i did it myself and lost 24 lbs in 28 days and have kept the weight off now going on 13 months later, but this should be done under doctor supervision.

Ocp: Consult your obgyne or pcp for possible low dose oral contraceptive to regulate your cycle. Hormonal imbalance causing your sore nipples.Of course if youre not yet diabetic you need to be monitored too.

Weight loss: For most women the cause of pcos is Insulin resistance which is impeding ovulation.  Insulin resistance is like pre diabetes.  So decreasing carbohydrates in the diet, regular exercise and weight loss can resolve the Insulin resistance and then the pcos goes away.  Women are then more likely to ovulate and get pregnant.
