A process, not event: Puberty is series of changes, not just a stage that you "hit". It is a process that occurs over several years. Girls will usually start with breast development. Later, the onset of periods and the growth of pubic and underarm hair. Boys will experience an increase in size if their penis and testicles, and a change in skin of the scrotum, and they, too will start growing body hair.

i recently discovered that my 7 and a half year old daughter gets bo. is that normal? could it be a sign she will hit puberty early?

Not necessarily: Body odor glands are governed by a separate system than true puberty and can become active a few years ahead or the real deal. As long as you rule out any other medical condition producing odd body odor just train the kid on deodorant use and wait for the inevitable.

hello! i am currently 16 years old and i know i have hit puberty- i have all the signs of it except penile growth. ive tried looking online to see when it will grow or even if it will but i decided i should ask a doctor instead. will it grow at all?

Unlikely: In a normally developed male, penis has reached an adult size by age 16.  In case you have not developed pubertal developmental  stage V, penis might grow further.  I would recommend to see a pediatrician.

Yes: Some women are born with no hymen, a limited wide shelf like hymen or lose it through childhood trauma, self sex, or other event. Those with the typical intact hymen will have it broken during penetrating intercourse.

Puberty: As a late "bloomer"it is possible that you may grow a little taller.

No: That is the joy of having an extra, in case something happens to one. The turn on switch for puberty comes from the brain. The testis plays a role, but it only takes one to do it.

No: Masturbation at a young age does not trigger early puberty, or cause short stature. Puberty begins in boys between the ages of 9 and 14 and lasts about 5 years. A person's height is influenced the most by their genetics (parents heights), nutrition (protein especially) and lack of repeated illness.

what vitamins can i give my son who is non-verbal and autistic and is going through puberty, is this why he is aggressive and hitting and scratching?

Any over the counter: Multivitamin is fine.  Puberty certainly may cause increase in aggressiveness since there is a surge of hormones, some mds may suggest Lexapro (escitalopram) in this situation.

No: Nose bleeds are not part of puberty. Does she have sneezing or stuffy nose?  She may benefit from a trip to a nose (ENT) DR. Meanwhile have her try a little vaseline or Aquaphor. Apply twice a day with a finger inside nose.
