At proper blood levels this can help avoid events that might occur episodically or due to stress or fever. Do not stop suddenly as a sudden drop in the buffer could bring on an event.

Childhood seizrue: Fevers or infections can cause seizures at that age. It is a common time for generalized seizures to start but most of the time kids will outgrow these seizures. It is probably worth going to see a neurologist to see if your wife still needs to take medicines for her seizures.

Potential recurrence: Most likely causation secondary to atherosclerotic area in your brain, but medication reactions cannot be excluded, and sleep apnea also a consideration.  A normal MRI does not remove future seizure risks, and i would suggest prudence here.  An anti-seizure medicine would be useful.  A full neurological assessment is advised.

Anesthetic vs AED: Propofol is an anesthetic med used to induce coma or sedation. One way to stop status epilepticus is medication-induced coma. However, while Propofol can induce coma, it is not an antiepileptic drug (AED) such as Lorazepam or phenobarbital. Thus, Propofol can induce coma to stop a protracted seizure and simultaneously lower (not raise) the seizure threshold. Good question! good luck!

Absolutely NO!!: I hope this is not something you were thinking of trying on your own to someone you know who has a problem with seizures-- don't ever try to administer alcohol to someone who is having a true seizure--if someone is having a seizure, call 911 and let professionals treat them.
