i would like to know the side effects of the medicine triametrene/hydrochlorothiazide .does it increase blood glucose and cause electrolyte imbalance?

Medication: Potential to reduce potassium especially on a high salt diet. Can reduce magnesium. Can reduce sodium with high water intake. Can slightly increase glucose levels.

should i be drinking gatorade for electrolytes while on 50mg of prednisone? the side effects are driving me nuts. i cannot remember how long its been since ive had a good night sleep without my brain being awake all night. ill still ask my doctor.

Steroids and sleep: Corticosteroid drugs like prednisone commonly cause sleep disturbance, especially with high doses. Electrolye and fluid intake (Gatorade or any other drink) has no effect on this, assuming you otherwise have a balanced diet. Good plan to ask your doctor, but don't worry about Gatorade.

for the last week i have noticed a muscle tremor on the bottom side of my right foot towards my toes and its only that foot. should i be worried? or is it fine? or is it a sign of a electrolyte imbalance?

Tremor foot: This would be very unusual.  Show to your Dr. and discuss.

Fasciculations: These can be from medications (allergy/decongestants and others) recent exercise and nerve issues, to name a few.  If prolonged (over two to three days,) review with primary care provider.

what effects can having an imbalance in electrolytes have on your body?

Multiple: Depending on which electrolyte.
Potassium: too low can cause cramping, too high can cause fatal heart arrhythmia.
Sodium: too low confusion, seizure, brain herniation and death, too high lethargy, weakness, irritability, neuromuscular excitability.
Those are the main ones, can also get calcium multiple symptoms with calcium fluctuations, but not consider a true electrolyte.

It is paramount to get to the root of the problem as there may be some life threatening or potentially so conditions that if left untreated may get advanced enough to leave permanent damage or even end up in death.
