Forget it!: There is little reason to believe that taking vitamine would help anyone. To get blood levels checked is  certainly excessive and unnecessary as there is no medical condition i can think of that can be helped by doing what you are doing.

i have been taking stellar mama, a multi vitamin for during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. it contains 24mg of iron. can this be making my poo dark? i also have hemorrhoids which occur intermittently.

Yes: Iron can darken your stool and cause constipation. It is important to eat plenty of roughage and make sure you are drinking plenty of water

: Breast milk alone does not provide infants with an adequate amount of vitamin D. Shortly after birth, most infants will need an additional source of vitamin D. To reduce the risk of skin cancer from sun exposure,  keep infants younger than 6 months out of direct sunlight.

God made food: Is of particular importance. Be sure that your vitamin intake is rich enough in folic acid. Do not eat or drink any form of junk, especially all the sweet stuff. Do not drink any pop or caffeine containing drinks, including, of course, coffee-----not even decaf.

Prenatal vitamins: In general we tell women to take prenatals for 6 months or until you stop breastfeeding. I know that a lot of women have nausea or upset stomach with prenatals and it is safe to go back to a regular multivitamin if you don't tolerate the prenatals.

Yes: You can take collagen and prenatal vitamins without any worry. If you are not vitamin deficient, they will provide little if any benefit and unused vitamins will flush out of your system within a day or so.
