Yes: Itching can be a nonspecific symptom.  However, any skin lesion that is changing (including itching) and has persisted for more than 6 weeks, should be evaluated by your physician.

: Suggest you visit either an MD or DO and have a proper exam of the area of concern.  You could be experiencing what is termed notalgia paresthetica, a localized neuralgia over one shoulder blade, but this could represent a lingering area due to prior shingles.  A chiropractor would not be expected to manage this.

Itching: With no mention of rash, this is probably a chronic sensory nerve issue.  Thats why they make those back scratchers.  I am sure it is nothing serious.

Consider shingles?: The earliest symptom of 'shingles' or reactivation of the varicella zoster virus (previously caused chickenpox) ---is severe pain along a nerve path (dermatome) before the typical rash is apparent.  The shingles can affect a nerve path stretching from one side of the chest wall through the armpit and back to shoulder blade. But, there are many other causes of chest/shoulder pain -see a doctor soon!

Shoulder pain: This could be shingles as it sometimes occurs without the rash. I would see a doctor to make a definite diagnosis

Needs removal : If you have a bothersome lump on your back please get it evaluated. It may be as simple as a sebaceous cyst that just needs to be opened and extracted. This of course is impossible to tell without seeing the bump.
