Migraine, tension headache, medication overuse, sleep issues, muscle-skeletal pain, stress, depression, insomnia can in part contribute to headache.  A multifocal treatment approach should be used.

Thought: EMG is for nerve function speed.
X-ray will show some soft tissue but more bone.
There are tendons, muscle, vessels, cartilage, that are part of an extremity and can have issues.
Some other pains are referred pain from heart etc
Good history,physical exam may guide to cause of trouble, and confirm wit higher testing.
