It depends on: if you have any nutritional deficiencies, reasons for a nutritionally incomplete diet or malabsorption syndromes.  Remember if you don't have any defined nutritional deficiencies you are better off getting your micronutrients like the B vitamins from whole foods rather than from supplementation.  Alternatively if all you have is a B12 deficiency then you should be fine with a B12 supplement.

OK but not 4 absorb.: It is perfectly fine to take b complex/b12 with magnesium but won't enhance absorption. Magnesium is best absorbed on an empty stomach ; b vits can cause stomach upset on empty stomach. B vits, esp. B6, often work in synergy with mag. The best-absorbed forms of mag. Are glycinate ; taurate; citrate is ok too. Epsom salt baths ; topical "magnesium oil" are also good ways to get magnesium into you.

Yes: The amounts that are in your multivitamin, so it is safe to take an additional b-complex and magnesium chloride.  The question really should be if you need to take these.  There are certain conditions for which it is a good idea to take a multivitamin or even higher dose vitamins/minerals/other supplement, but many people don't need to take anything additional over a healthy diet.

Good question: B12 is typically given under the tongue (pill or liquid)  or by shot. Although there is some B12 in b complex pills chances our its not enough or can't be properly absorbed by the last 5 inches of your small intestine. (B12 absorbtion requires first binding to intrinsic factor made in the stomach ) either the stomach is dammaged or the small intestine has a problems. B complex varies in content.

Did I misunderstand?: You're a young adult who lists no terribly serious illness for which you would require injectable vitamins of any sort rather than vitamins taken orally. If someone has told you that "injections are better", perhaps because they are painful, i would question this advice. You clearly value your health & i'd urge you to reconsider injecting yourself at all, or get with a mainstream dr.

i was told by my doctor to start taking vitamin b complex. i purchased some at the drug store and noticed the vitamin b12 in it has 15 mcg, is that to much vitamin b12? will it give me jitters and cause my heat to race?

: It is unlikely that you will ingest too much vitamin B12 because excess amounts leave the body through urine. If your urine is bright yellow, it is most likely that you are taking in more B vitamins than you really need.  Expensive urine, but not dangerous.

NO (unless...): B12 and B complex are often combined together and are extremely safe.  I've given this combo to many people and the only side effect I've seen is temporary pain at the injection site.Of course I always give in in the hip region or arm. 
The only way I could see this happening is if it was actually injected into the person's face and damaged a nerve, but it should always be given in a large muscle.
