i have a minimal koch's infection in my right upper lobe, may i ask a question? can i go to work while continuing my medication?

: Even minimal pulmonary (lung) tuberculosis ("Koch's infection") can be a great danger to people in your environment. But if "minimal" means no cavity (an open abscess in the lung), you are not coughing, and are taking your medications, probably you can safely be at work. But check with your doctor first -- or with public health authorities in your city, province or country. Good luck.

should you go to work with a strep throat, sore throat, or viral infection?

Sore throat/work: Yes if you do not have high fever, you can go to work, do not drink out of the same glass and do not kiss anybody.

i have had 9 surgeries in over 10 years. i developed mrsa after the first surgery. now my last surgery 6 weeks ago, i had a terrible staff b infection. it is seven weeks after surgery and i have zero energy, exhaustion, inability to go to work?

: It is not feasible to provide an opinion without additional history, physical examination may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor to see if you may be depressed. Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Bad URI: Depends on whether you have a fever or how badly you feel. If there is fever, it is best to stay home and rest while you take lots of fluids and comfort yourself with aspirin. If you have body aches, cannot breathe because of nasal stuffiness, have frequent cough, feel fatigued - all without fever, it is best to rest as well and follow the previous recommendation. A workaholic may not agree!

if i work too hard right after i feel like i've gotten over an infection can i bring it back??

Not really: If your body fights off an infection it is gone.  BUT if you are run down and tired you may be more susceptible to the next virus you come across and may get sick more easily.

Covid-19: Covid Symptoms include: Fever, Cough, Headache, Fatigue, Muscle/body aches, Loss of Smell/Taste, Sore throat, Nausea/Diarrhea, nasal congestion and assorted rashes. Since you are showing 2 or more symptoms, you should self isolate and be tested. Treat symptoms with Acetaminophen (for headache, fever, body aches, sore throat), lots of fluids and rest

No: Cultures & sensitivities are needed for some infections. Different antibiotics cover different types of organisms.

Combination of: things to include consistent &amp; adequate hand washing &amp; use of gloves, masks or other Personal protective equipment (PPE) as indicated.

Immunodeficiency: Recurrent infections of different types can be due to many causes.  If you have recurrent infections, especially if you are an adult with recurrent sinus, and lung (pulmonary) infections, you should see an immunologist and be evaluated for immune deficiency.  Everyone is allowed to get "sick" occasionally, but recurrent infections can have an underlying cause that an immunologist can diagnose.

came in contact with a work colleague on saturday 11 july 2020.  he was diagnosed positive today.  must i be tested for possible infection?  i work in the aviation industry (essential services air traffic control).

COVID-19 exposure: This depends on the details of your contact with the infected person. If you're well across the room (at a well separated station) and ventilation is good, maybe no problem. If you were closer, shook hands, shared a break, you need to self isolate and get tested. Probably you're a federal employee (FAA), which must have its standards; check with your supervisor and follow them. Good luck.
