Pressure : You may simply be sensitive to the change in pressure, which would not benefit from medicine. Have you tried earplugs during take off and landing?

Yes: Just be careful not to touch your eyes and then touch any other places where others may also have contact.

Not at all: Keep up her regular food and sleep schedule if possible, and try to fly after her second set of shots, usually at 4 months.  She will be well protected.  It is safest for her to fly strapped in a car seat, but the only way to be sure of that is to buy her a ticket, which not everyone can afford; instead, try to pick a flight which is not full and use the seat as  your carryon. Use bottled water.

Phobias are no fun: Fear of flying (or dying in a plane crash) is troubling to some people. If you go to a website devoted to this you might find help: http://www.Fearofflying.Com/ or, please contact a psychologist with expertise in cognitive-behavioral therapy (cbt) and systematic desensitization. This can help. The chance of dying in a plane crash = chance of dying in a bathtub.

Next day: If you are a pilot, the restriction relates to the anesthetic used.  No flying for 24 hours after sedatives and narcotics.  As a passenger, you can fly the next day, also.

DVT prophylaxis: Travelers on a flight of less than 6 hours and those with no known risk factors for VTE, regardless of the duration of the flight, do not need DVT prophylaxis. Travelers with 1 or more risk factors for VTE should consider graduated compression stockings and/or blood thinner for flights longer than 6 hours.

if i have a tendency toward pneumothorax, can i fly at any high altitudes?

Maybe ok, if treated: A person with a tendency to get a pneumothorax (meaning one has already had a pneumothorax before, or one has medical conditions that could lead to a pneumothorax) takes a definite risk when flying, but the size of the risk is hard to determine. If permanent and/or surgical treatment is done, it may become safer to fly, especially if the person is a pilot and responsible for many other lives.

Depends: Your doc will check you the day after your procedure. If all is well, he still may want you to be in town for a week in case there are any complications. Otherwise, there is nothing about lasik that would prevent you from flying.

Yes: Plan your trip. The pressure from descent will,have negligible effect n your disc bulges. How you lift and carry your luggage is a different matter. Learn ergonomic lift and carry techniques ( never lift while twisting) . Get up every 30 minutes if a long trip

Flying with fluid : You are better off getting tubes placed in the ear drum.  With fluid in the middle ear you have a greater chance of having a spontaneous rupture of the tympanic membrane with all the pressure changes.  See your ent before you fly.
