Lymphadenitis: The two phenomena may not have anything to do with each other. It is conceivable that the lymph nodes in your throat represented a primary infection which helped to precipitate recurrence of the VZ virus and clinical shingles.

So shingles would : not just be one group of blisters, it would be a row extending across one buttock, otherwise you just have herpes simplex. Sounds like you might have two different things going on. See dermatologist or doctor for correct diagnosis

Not shingles?: Your first three symptoms do not sound like shingles but severe pharyngitis/laryngitis, probably viral.  You don't say if the sores on the scalp are painful, but the scalp is not a common place for shingles. I suspect you have an associated folliculitis (infected/inflamed hair follicles) and may need topical or oral antibiotics. I would consult a dermatologist. Good luck!

my glands in my neck are swollen and sensitive. specifically the one on my right hand side under my jaw. it is sensitive to touch. it feels like the nerve pain you get with shingles. i have no rash?

How long?: You may feel the nodes every couple of days, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor.

Not Shingles.: Probably fixed drug reaction.
Make a list of all meds including all supplements & try to play detective!

Not sure: why you would have a sore throat as shingles affects skin and not oral mucosa generally.  Sore throat is most likely coincidental unless you are talking about the skin around your neck and that is where the rash occurred.   If so then you may have post-hepetic neuropathy.  If this persists consult your doctor.

i have shingles on my forehead and it's been about a week and a half and my scabs are all gone but the red rash is still on my forehead. will it go aw?

Give it time.: The redness you currently see is called "post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation", and is a common finding after a bout with shingles.  May take several weeks to clear, as it represents a local increase in melanin production in the skin, but it will clear.

Sore throat: Drink warm tea for lluids. Take iced popsicles for relef of pain. Drink green tea with honey.
