Wrist pain: If you fell  get a x-ray. Could be tendinitis, carpal tunnel, De Quevains rarely could be arthritis or autoimmune manifestation. Have you tried motrin/ advil/ aleve (naproxen) if not allergic or a wrist splint or kinesiotape? Would consider those , no strenuous computer work or repetitive hand work over 2-5 days to  see if eases up  , but get an xray over next 1-2 days. f/u w/doc

A hand surgeon will take a detailed history, do a careful physical exam, and order plain x rays. Additional x rays often used are MRI for soft tissue evaluation and CT scan for bones. Hand therapy may be needed and splints, meds, injections, and then arthroscopic or open surgery to gain power grip
