i had sharp pain in lower left stomach for 4 months  doc put me on mtetronidzole and levofloxacin  pain went away quick but in concerned is this colon cancer or something else?

Diverticulitis: Probably an infection of the colon but when things get better you will need a colonoscopy.

Abdominal pain: Abdominal pain is a very broad complaint and can be difficult to get to the bottom of the cause.  This could be from a variety of conditions, but you really need a physical exam to figure out what is going on.  Diagnosis could range anywhere from muscle strain to hernia or inflammatory bowel diseases.  Blood work and imaging can help to figure out the cause to your pain as well as physical exam.

See your MD: If it's painful enough to keep you from sleeping then I would recommend seeing a Dr as soon as you can.  If it's your stomach, I would be concerned about a peptic ulcer.  If it is not your stomach, but the lower left abdomen (some people use stomach and abdomen synonymously) it could be your colon.  Would need to have a physical exam to determine which, and what the proper treatment should be.
