i am 20 years old and have been diagnosed with a prolapse of my small and large intestine. will having anal sex worsen the prolapse?

Rectal prolapse : Anal sex might affect rectal prolapse negatively. I don't know how you could have a prolapse of your small intestine. Probably a misunderstanding on someone's part.

two questions... 1. can doing kegels damage bladder prolapse further?  2. can i have sex with bladder prolapse? since surgery in may for hyst with ant/post repair have not attempted it yet.  thank yo.

One no two yes , can: Kegel exercises are very good  for pelvic floor , moderate visceral prolapse ( bladder , uterus, rectum ) you will not damage bladder it  will improve sex also by increasing the tone of puborectalis also known as ' love muscle' .Now you had surgery few months ago will be able to resume sexual activity speak to your doctor.

No: Pelvic prolapse, and, specifically, rectal prolapse, is much more likely caused by: pregnancy, childbirth, obesity, menopause, chronic cough (asthma), to name a few.

Not necessarily: Any abnormal vaginal bleeding should be evaluated by a physician. It may or may not be related to the prolapse, but there are also many other causes.

It would be rare!: It might be a very uncommon factor, but for the most part no, particularly if a condom with proper lubrication is used! but it can aggravate a pre-existing prolapse!

Most yes: Some are removable by patients.

Yes: Yes, there is such a thing as mild vaginal prolapse. The fact that it was precipitated by painful sex indicates that you should have this verified by a doctor. Pain, trouble urinating, vaginal bleeding are even more indicative of the need for a look by a doctor. I know it's an inconvenience, but, if that's all it is, it does not usually require surgical intervention unless it becomes pronounced.

Yes to both: Pelvic organ prolapse is a mechanical relaxation of those tissues.  Having intercourse is fine but may become more uncomfortable if the prolapse worsens.  The ability to have intercourse after prolapse surgery is one of the goals of any reputable surgeon doing that type of surgery.  Most patients are able to continue having sexual relations after prolapse surgery.

Repair: Prolapse of the uterus that interferes with sexual activity, bladder or bowel function requires treatment.  A gyn specialist can help you decide what's best for surgical repair. A pessary is an option for some patients, but not usually those sexually active.

i suffered a disc prolapse at l5/s1 level a year ago that has been treated through conservative approach through yoga. can i have sex hereafter ?
