Lotus neuropathy?: Sounds like compressive neuropathy from sitting indian style too much.  I would avoid this and sometimes physical therapy helps.

Inflamed vs varices: Pain is a result of inflammation or changes is circulation. It is unlikely (extremely rare) to have bilateral torsion.  If you don't have bilateral inguinal hernias, you should consider undergoing a scrotal ultrasound to assess for increased flow suggesting epididymal orchitis, or changes in flow seen in varicoceles. If "-", then it could be a ligamentous strain.

Take a test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.  If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

Hard to say: The nerves at L5 and S1 travel down the back and not the front of the thigh, so it may not be related to the surgeon.  Problems in the hip joint can cause anterior thigh pain, as can inflamed lymph nodes among other possible causes.  I would schedule a fu appointment with your surgeon and he will likely be able to determine the cause.

ANS: you most likely stained your Sartorius muscle the longest one in the body.  Google it and see if it fits. Called the tailor's muscle. Sit, turn your leg that hurts so you can see the bottom of your foot. If it hurts more that is likely it.

See an orthopaedist: Pain within the hip can be a sign of arthritis.  A consult with an orthopaedic surgeon, with xrays of the hip, would be a good place to start to help identify the source of the problem.
