Yes it's possible: Its difficult to isolate what fibromyalgia is. Much easier to diagnose what it is not. Therefore it's difficult to assess what 'cause & affect' makes it worse as opposed to simply, 'guilt by association.' someone best described it as a water pipe. Pressure (good) makes the water flow but stress (bad) makes the pipe crack!

Stress gastritis: The stomach lining is protected by a mucous gel layer that's regulated by prostaglandins, nitric oxide, certain proteins, and vagus nerve stimulation.  Normally, stomach acid secreted by the stomach's parietal cells does not erode into this lining. But severe stress may disrupt the neural tone such that the gel layer breaks down -- and then acid reaches, inflames, and destroys the stomach lining.

Self medication : My best suggestion is avoid self medication and see a GI. There are interventions that can be done rather than self medicate be it any preparation. Seeking consulling. medications, change In diet and other interventions would help. Self medication for a chronic condition is a slippery slope.If a controlled substance is needed suggest get an MD to help out. lastly there can be a true pathology.

It happens: You describe "severe stress". You certainly can elevate your heart rate dramatically from stress. If it happens rarely, it's likely normal. If it ever happens when you're NOT stressed, you likely have a primary rhythm problem that should be investigated.
