im having severe menstrual pain & thigh pain. i do not want to go to the dr and get a pelvic exam. i cant. what can i do? im 23, and i bleed so much. it hurts so bad and i need help? it cant be a sti?

: If it hurts so bad, than you need to seen by your OBGYN doctor. You may not need a pelvic exam, but you can't treat yourself.  A professional exam and diagnosis is recommended.

Unrelated : I don't think treadmill exercise is the cause of your symptoms. You need to see your gynecologist for a pelvic exam and possibly other investigations to find out the cause of your new onset menstrual cramps.

See your doctor.: It is very likely that your doctor would have noticed a retained tampon.  That being said, with these symptoms it would be best to be evaluated to determine the cause.  Hope this helps.

Pain correlation: The painful exam may be correlated to the present cramping pain. Give your examining MD a call and see if there were other findings at the exam that also may have been a cause.

May be PMS.: Pms symptoms can include pelvic/ abdominal cramping, nausea,  bloating, weight gain, moodiness, irritability, pain & swelling of breasts, feeling tired, insomnia, headaches, ^ acne, food cravings, ^ appetite, swelling of hands & feet, dizziness, thinking less clearly, urinary sxs & exacerbations of chronic conditions.

Call the MD exam: Call the MD who did the exam as the bleeding may be from the pap smear or other problems that were noticed at the exam but not discussed with you at the time of the examination.

Possible: Diverticulitis may be associated with abdominal cramps usually on one side of the abdomen but you may also have fever, chills, nausea, bloating and possible rectal bleed. Any infection in the body can cause missed periods and possibly menstrual cramps

Hormones vs GI tract: You need a thorough menstrual hx: PMS, breast tenderness, menstrual flow, clots, cramps. Are you having regular bowel movements? Changes in stool color, consistency, blood w/ BMs. Lab work and / or imaging studies as indicated.

i have lower left pelvic pain, intense vaginal cramps and bright red bleeding.. im a virgin can i have pid? normal pelvic exam. douched days earlier.

See doctor: Depending on when the pain started and when your period is due there are many causes of pelvic pain. The only way to figure this out is to see your doctor for a physical exam and possible testing. If you have never had unprotected intercourse then there is no way you would have PID.
