Yes: Getting out of a low chair can be stressful on the knees and a higher  seat should make it less stressful.  Another simple way to lessen knee pain after prolonged sitting is to bend and straighten your knees periodically while seated to prevent them from getting stiff.

Torn miniscus, bursa: The more common causes of your symptoms are petallar bursitis (the patellar bursa becomes swollen, irritated and painful), and a meniscal tear (tearing of the cartilage disc between the femur and the tib/fib complex.  If it persists for more than a few days, you need to see an orthopedist for an eval and knee MRI.  In the meantime, an adjustable brace would not hurt, and would give support.

Unusual: Late teenage female with severe bilateral knee pain with range of motion has an unusual problem.  Absent a history of bilateral knee injury, these symptoms suggest an autoimmune arthritic problem or an inherited problem of joint hypermobility syndrome.  A rheumatologist would be the type of medical specialist to consult.

Kneecaps & alignment: Knee pain in younger people is often due to foot, knee, and hip alignment issues. Pain when the knee is bent comes from pressure of the kneecap into the femur. An alignment evaluation, orthotics, and a specific exercise program designed by a pt for you should help. Without an injury, a meniscus problem is unlikely.

Chondromalacia patel: this sounds like chondromalacia patella which is softening of the cartilage underneath your kneecap. Best treatment for this is to do exercises that strengthen your quadriceps muscles. You can discuss with your physician about this or after your evaluation if x-rays and other imaging looks okay you could have physical therapy help you work on a new program

Knee pain: If you haven't recently injured the knee, at your age I suspect patella tendonitis is the cause of your symptoms. Prior cartilage damage is another possibility. For now I recommend rest from knee exertion and taking anti-inflammatory medication like Advil or Aleve(with food) for a week. Cold or hot applications may be used,also.  If symptoms persist consult an orthopedic specialist.

Time to see doc..: Everyone experiences some aches and pains at some point in life, but if any pain that is adversely affecting your life, you should have it checked out. Tylenol/motrin/aleve may help your knee pain, but should find out the cause. Gout, sprain/strain, meniscal tear, arthritis, infection are few causes of knee pain they are managed differently. where i up i am constantly getting up and down to get stuff from the printer. now my knees hurt, and i get a back knee pain near the behind area??

Probably overuse: Since this involves both knees, it is probably from overuse, especially since only the back of the knee.  Take more frequent breaks to get up and walk around.  Perform simple range of motion activities by moving the knee through full range of motion and stretch at the limits of motion when fully straight and fully bent.  Ice may help if pain persists.  Apply ice to painful area 15-20 min/hour.
