Preservative free: Artificial tears, artificial gel at bedtime, maybe plugging the tear drainage system. Long term would be to use Restasis drops twice a day.

can people with sjogrens syndrome and severe dry eye syndrome have lasix (furosemide) eye surgery?

Better not: Lasik surgery tends to make eyes more dry. In the setting of sjogren's syndrome, this could potentially be devastating.  Patients who have severe dry eyes can have pain, fluctuating and even poor vision. And this will get worse with age.  If you want surgery, you might consider refractive lens exchange, as this will be less drying to the eye and may also get rid of the need for bifocals.

have dry eyes, but when eyes get more wet/hydrated, more flashes appear in peripherals of both eyes. more dry and less flashes. dilated eyes, optometrist found no tears. all started 2 months ago. what could be wrong? severe dry eye causing flashes?

Plugs,drops,ointment: Dry eye is a very common side effect from lasik. First use preservative free artificial tears 4-5/day. Then consider punctal plugs to block the tear drains. You can also consider ointment at bedtime and/or Restasis twice a day. Also, drink more water, sleep more, don't have a fan blowing in you face and wear sunglasses when outside.
