Probably  : Endometrial ablations are great procedures to treat heavy periods. Personally i prefer genesys hta over novasure but both are good procedures. You should have no problem finding a doctor trained to do these. Many are trained to do them in the office under local anesthesia.

Yes: The circumstance you  described warrants a visit to the emergency room.

Vaginal bleeding: You should go to an er as soon as possible. You will need to have an internal examination as well as an ultrasound of your uterus to see if you have any fibroid tumors there causing your bleeding. Blood work will also need to be taken to measure hormone levels. Given your description of your blood loss, you may be in danger of becoming anemic. Good luck.

Need for evaluation: What you described is not a normal pattern even though it does fit a particular diagnosis. At a minimum you need to be evaluated for anemia due to blood loss and be examined for the cause of irregular bleeding. Please consult your gynecologist.

Menstrual pain: Ultrasoudn woudl find polyps, fibroids and ovarian cysts but may not see  endometriosis which  can be diagnosed on laproscopy. Would discuss the possibility with your OB

Stop: There are lots of alternate treatments for this including uterine endometrial ablation.
An ultrasound and or a laparoscopy may be in order, but each case is different.

Cramp pain: You should call your doctor and report what has happened, and make appointment for an exam.  You may have suffered a loss of an early pregnancy or some other mishap.  Keep resting and take lots of fluids with other good nutrition.  Be careful not to fall and hurt yourself.

See your doctor: Some women have painful periods (dysmenorrhea) or heavy bleeding (menorrhagia) from their first period, others develop this later in life, maybe after having a baby.  Either way it is usually treatable with medication, sometimes an iud like Mirena (levonorgestrel) is placed.  If you are done having children and you are at least 35 years old, endometrial ablation (like novasure) can really help.

They feel similar: If you have  a large blood clot in your leg, you have an emergency that can kill you. The blood clot can break off and get stuck in your lungs. Call your doctor! he can test you for the clot and put you on blood thinners that will allow the clot to stabilize and dissolve.

Uterine bleeding ?'s: Passing clots following after a menstrual period may indicate pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic). See your gyn physician for an exam and pelvic ultrasound, and obtain a serum HCG to be sure about pregnancy.
