Not clear: Complications of spinal taps could cause you headaches or leg symptoms, but isolated back pain weeks later might not be related at all. Perhaps the condition that prompted the spinal tap could be the culprit. Rarely, an impromperly performed tap can be associated with ectopic tissue growth along the needle track in a very delayed fashion.

went to the er w/ severe back pain after having a lumbar puncture on 12/24. on the ct the lumbar site looked ok but they found a kidney stone w/ hydronephrosis in my r kidney. how closely should my dr watch this and should i ask to be sent to a urogist? h

Now. : This may not be true back pain with those findings seen in terms of the kidney and the ureter with the hydronephrosis .  It could be referred pain from an obstructing kidney stone or other issue.    You need to get this worked up further with  your doctor possibly  including further tests like an ivp or intravenous pyleogram.

Unrelated: I am a kidney doctor.  Back pain likely from disc bulge. Hydronephrosis on both sides is from blockage. It means your kidneys are unable to drain urine. You may need to see a kidney doctor ( nephrologist) or urologist  for this. Back pain will also need help from internal medicine doctor.

Tough situation: I am sorry you have this pain. There are many options from chronic medication management to spinal cord stimulators. If possible, avoid further surgery. See an experienced pain interventionalist who can give injections around the hardware and this may help with some of the pain and they also may be able to do the stimulator trials. Chiropractor: The back pain can be caused by muscle strain, spinal stenosis, ruptured disc, nerve impingement ...  
I think you might experience musculoskelekal issues.
You might benefit from heat pad, stretching exercise or soft tissue treatment by chiropractor.  If you pain is not improved, you can go to see a pain management doctor.
