Wound healing: Much of the fluid from wounds are byproducts of the healing process. There is no real role in the healing  process. Too much drainage can slow down healing due to the moisture levels and the enzymes.

Serous fluid: It is normal to have some fluid between the pleural surfaces for lubrication during chest excursions. If due to disease pattern the fluid accumulates- pleural effusion, it causes shortness of breath and needs to be addressed asap.

Edema (Swelling): An insect bit can cause a lot of swelling (edema) at the site for several days.  This happens commonly in people who have more allergies and sensitive skin.  I have seen a mosquito bite cause a severe red, swollen (3 inch wide) spot.  That swelling can cause the serous fluid to leak through for a few days.  However, if it is not getting better by day 5, see your doctor, it could be infected.

Should not: Your husband should re see his doctor to find out what he thinks could be causing the fluid and be worked up for it is that has not yet occurred.

See a surgeon: It sounds like this is a serious burn.  Risk of infection as well as future scarring can be significant if not managed appropriately in the early stages.  Please seek care from a plastic surgeon or a general surgeon specializing in burn care if available.

Back acne: Good idea to see a dermatologist to determine the cause of your acne and to give you proper treatment.

what is the clear fluid that builds up after popping a pimple?

Edema: Generally the clear fluid that leaks is one of two things: either it's edema (swelling) from the trauma of the pressure or it's fluid from inside the cells that have ruptured.  Either way it's an indication that you're applying too much pressure to "pop the pimple".  It is not generally recommended to squeeze acne.  The pressure can actually cause the infection to go deeper or lead to scarring.
