May be warts?: That's a common place to get warts. Especially if they look like there are tiny dark dots in the skin, and it also looks rough. Warts generally don't hurt, unless they are on a surface that gets pressure, like the bottom of your feet. You can try otc wart removers or see a doctor for treatment. They can spread if not treated.

subungual melanoma: nail bed discoloration or nail plate? my nail plate has a horizontal band 1/2cm across but skin underneath is normal. confused

See a doctor: Your nail needs to be examined by your doctor, preferably by a dermatologist. After examination you will be guided further. A close watch for change in the size of discoloration or the skin around will guide the doctor further. Keep good photographs to detect changes over time(weekly). Good luck

Trauma most likely: You may have injured your nail  matrix by wearing shoes or boots that were too tight . Any trauma or injury to the nail bed can cause this.

See MD: You need a full history and clinical exam. The differential diagnosis can be from simple vasospasm from being cold, to cyanosis, to other problems. If you are short of breath with exertion I would seek care immediately in the ER. Otherwise if you feel fine see MD.

Hello. : Hello. I canâ€™t diagnose your condition. However, onycholysis can occur after trauma to the nail.  The nail becomes loose from the nail bed and can turn yellow or white. It is recommended that the nail be clipped short, that you donâ€™t scrape under the nail and that you keep the nail dry.  There are other possible causes for onycholysis but it sounds like yours was traumat related. Take care.

Depends: Depends on what you mean by "dips."  if you have little hollowed-out pits or craters, these could be part of a skin inflammation such as psoriasis.
