i see halos around lights day and night. i visited many eye specialists. they all said nothing is wrong but i am still seeing them. what can be causing it?

Lights: Have your doctor check for diabetes
diabetes can make you feel hungry, tired, or thirsty; you may urinate more than normal and have blurry vision.

Glaucoma
glaucoma is a group of eye conditions in which fluid builds up in your eye causing gradual vision loss. 

Transient ischemic attack (mini-stroke)
transient ischemic attacks cause headache, numbness, tingling, or weakness in the face, arm, or l.

Halos around lights: Can be caused by many different eye issues.  This may be due to scratched glasses or a change in your glasses prescription.  It could also be due to eye problems such as cataracts or other conditions which blur images when you try looking at them.  You should see your eye doctor for further evaluation.

Dryness/glaucoma: Mild to moderate chronic eye pain with occasional haloes is usually dry eye and should resolve with drops.  Acute, severe eye pain and redness may represent angle-closure glaucoma.  Sometimes inflammation or corneal hazing may cause haloes as well.  Best to get checked out soon!

Halos: The halos may be coming from a swollen cornea or astigmatism. Corneal swelling may come and go, so it may not be present on every exam.

prednisone? can it cause these side effects? blurred vision,or seeing halos around lights. i was only on for 3 weeks and tapered down. is has been 2 weeks that i am off and i still have blurred vision?  when will this go away?

Depends : On the dose / duration, steroids may lead to or exacerbate cataracts, (if it is the case) common, and unpredictable.  Treatment is available, kindly ask for ophthalmologist referral for evaluation, it may not be cataract, may be other unrelated issue to steroids, wish you wellness

i began seeing halos around lights through my right eye a few weeks back. the symptom is constant and seems correlated with my jaw pain. optometrist, opthamologist, oral surgeon can't find any obvious issue. what diagnostics do i need?

Halo: I would be reassured if the ophthalmologist found no evidence of glaucoma or cataract. You may have some degree of astigmatism. Ask your ophthalmologist about that possibility. I am not aware of temporomandibular joint dysfunction causing eye symptoms.

See eye doctor: Could be poor fit
could be wrong magnification 
could be uncorrected astigmatism
could be cataract
could be dry.

Depends: Many people do see halos with contact lenses.  Sometimes, it could mean your contact lens is not completely clean.  But if its a new lens, then most likely its normal.

Need better Rx: First I am goung to assume these contacts are not bifocal cl's.  Halos whn using bifocal contacts are normal.  If you see halos arouond lights, this usually means the prescription is not as accurate as it can be.  Rarely halos can be caused by corneal edema from a poorly fitted contact lens.

Bifocal CL: If you are wearing a bifocal contact lens, some halos seen round lights is "normal", or at least a limitation of the type of contact lens.  If this is not the type of cl yo u wear, than the lens fit or power needs to be improved/corrected.  You should not be seeing halos if your ocular health is good (no cataracts).
