There are risks: Assisted reproductive technology increases the risk for prematurity and low birth weight (as well as other factors) mainly because of the  higher rate of twins and triplets etc.  My neonatology colleagues are kept quite bust caring for very small babies from reproductive technology. There may also be an increased risk for birth defects due to so called epigenetic effects.

Poor development : Of thyroid gland.  Thyroid hormone replacement will be needed lifelong.  With proper treatment, most of them do well.
