Throat symptoms: If the esophagus is burned or scratched by food the symptoms usually resolve on their own. Maybe you also scratched your throat causing the "lump" symptoms. If you are short of breath and wheezing you should see a respiratory physician (pulmonologist) or just a good general practitioner.

I think you are...: Referring to a zenker's diverticulum. This occurs when the lining of the esophagus herniated between constrictor muscles of the throat  reducing a sack that extends into the neck. The symptoms usually consist of a fullness  in the neck  or throat after eating with a regurgitation of chewed foods that relieves the fullness symptoms. This is caused by the food filling the sack.

Sort of: Batretts esophagus is an asymptomatic disease caused by reflux. Barretts in itself may reduce reflux symptoms a bit but is a precancerous condition. Dietary modifications which help reflux symptoms include eating smaller meals, avoiding late meals, avoid caffeine, nicotine, peppermint, chocolate, spicy foods, tomatoes and tomato sauce.

Symptoms: Rare to have problems. If stuck in esophagus, you would likely have swallowing pain. If stuck in bowel, likely abdominal pain. Only thing you can do is see MD if symptoms develop.

Difficulty swallowin: Cardinal sign of esophagus cancer, weight loss.  Associated with alcohol and smoking.  Stomach cancer can begin as an ulcer, with heart burn, indigestion, belching, unusually vomiting blood,  but slow ooze can lead to anemai, fatigue, weight loss.
