Irritation: There are a number of things that can irritate this sensitive area. Sensitivity to laundry detergents, toilet paper, or feminine products can cause this as well as yeast infection. Avoid products that have fragrance or color.

See professionals...: What you described may be an intractable skin condition, manageable but not curable. See a competent trustworthy dermatologist timely.  Meanwhile, topical use of Hydrocortisone cream for 1-2 weeks may ease itch, but preferably under professional supervision.

i recently shaved my pubic hair & my mons pubis/vulva is much darker than my stomach/rest of body. i believe this was caused by scratching, past cysts/abscesses scars, poor shaving, etc. was not dark in past. how can i revert the skin and heal scars?

: The genital area in humans is darker normally. Your other problems might have contributed too. Scars can shrink with time. There is no medicine to change the color. I suggest that you see a dermatologist for opinion and let some well trimmedhair grow there if you like to cover the 'darker' skin

It can indicate an allergic reaction to household products like certain soaps and laundry detergents. There are also some skin conditions liked lichen sclerosis which can cause vaginal itching. Hormone deficiencies from menopause or breast feeding can also cause itching.

Not cancer. : It's probably not cancer due to your age (27), but it could be genital warts, which are caused by a virus called HPV. This virus can lead to cervical cancer. It could also be a benign growth that is getting irritated and swollen. Have it looked at so you don't have to keep worrying!

: Just keep the area clean. Alcohol would do little other than trigger pain. The itching is part of self-healing. Find some antibiotic cream (not ointment) that you can use daily while it heals. If you just keep the area clean it should self-heal in a week or so.

Yeast infection of the vagina usually presents with itching and burning along with white exudate like cheese on the mucosa.
You have suffered for 2 months so you really need to see a doctor, preferably a GYN, for the exam, testing and treatment.
