Swelling not good: The pain you describe could be due to any number of neurologic or muscoloskeletal problems.I'm thrown by the 'swelling'.If it's just a swelling 'sensation' w/out actual visible or palpable swelling, you most likely have a musculoskeletal problem that could be alleviated by muscle relaxants/pain meds &amp; osteopathic manipulation.Real swelling could indicate lymphatic/blood vessel injury.See dr. ASAP.

Sciatica: Yes it can cause such feeling. It is called referred symptoms  as the problem is in the spine but the feelings are in the hip

No: No.  Perhaps fluid retention, ankle instability or arthritis.

sciatica is herting my left hip .pain is down the hole leg lots of pain in calf with some swelling.im a large man 280pounds 6.3ft .i limp every where its killing me any thoughts?

Advice: Stay active but don't overdo. Avoid situations/movements known to hurt/aggravate your pain. Try to do light stretches, preferably after you have warmed up your back if heat is helpful.
Antiinflammatory medications such as ibuprofen/naproxen are mainstay of therapy. Occasionally, stronger medication such as tramadol or hydrocodone may be used for severe/breakthrough pain. Takes ~ 6 weeks to improve.

my legs are swelling and stomach feeling fullness and tight. i have sciatica for 3 months. are these symptoms are due to the sciatica? remedy for this

May not be: It appears  you need  one or more diagnoses. Have your physician evaluate the sciatica and separately the swelling and stomach. It is not clear  what the cause is

woken at 1am with stabbing pains in the back of my thigh about every minute or 2. still going on, no swelling or redness. sciatica? worried about dvt.

Maybe muscle spasm: First, if pain is new, did you do anything differently prior to the onset of the pain, such as lifting heavy things or twisting with heavy weight or any extremes of movement? Any other symptoms like numbness/tingling, weakness, trouble walking or urinating etc? Isolated thigh pain is unlikely sciatica. More likely muscle spasm etc. Blood clot needs ruled out but again unlikely if no risk factors.

Bruise.: Not knowing the exact mechanism of how you felt, or how you landed for that matter, I could comment on the management of this bruise. I could tell you that at this point you should be applying heat and not ice. If you feel that your spine is bothering you after a week or two, you might need an x-ray.

No see your physicia: See your  physician, get  an exaiantion and get the ultrasound and an evaluation for other causes.

Accepted Answer

Calf pain: Consider posterior tibial is tendon dysfunction with your fallen arch. May be residua of pinched nerve. Consider DVT also as a more ominous condition.
