Scarlet fever: Eye redness is not typically a symptom of scarlet fever. Scarlet fever is associated with group a streptococcal infection most prevalently of the tonsils and has a typcial scarletiniform rash and and hence the name scarlet fever.

Lumps: Rash of Chicken Pox will start on face and chest commonly. However at 35 you have likely been exposed to Chickenpox. Rash could be impetigo or something related to strep.

Likely unrelated: Scarlet fever is just a strep A infection, usually throat, that also generates a red sunburn like rash. Chickenpox is usually experienced in childhood (95%)yielding permanent immunity. Its incubation until breakout is 10-21 days. You didn't say if you have a sore throat or the date of exposure from chickenpox. Neither produces facial lumps.

Rash: It may not be scarlet fever at all. Scarlet fever is a fairly rare manifestation of strep infection. It's unlikely to go without sore throat and fever either. You will need to take you kid to the doc to figure this out.

The face mask is unlikely to be related.
Monitor temperature and breathing, COVID-19 testing recommended. Watch for cough, runny nose and fever

: Did you change facial cream/soap or makeup recently.  Is redness anywhere else on your body.  I would see a Dermatologist, and have your concerns addressed.

These : These sound like subcutaneous (under the skin) nodules. These can be seen in certain types of arthritis(i.e. Rheumatoid), and other types autoimmune disorders. This really is an issue that should be evaluated by a dermatologist. Please encourage your friend to make an appointment.
