are all lymph nodes cancerous. do some of then to away on their own with time. i have one and scared of cancer?

Accepted Answer

No: Most lymph nodes become enlarged as a response of the immune system to an illness or infection. In this setting most lymph nodes will return to normal size after the illness or infections is resolved.  However, any enlarged lymph node needs to be evaluated if it persists and continues to grow.

my dad has acid reflux which i'm pretty sure i have. help please scared of cancer! what is the probability?

Low risk: The risk of cancer with acid reflux is low, but there are other potential complications like ulcers in esophagus, bleeding, damage to larynx (voice box) and aspiration of refluxed into lungs and pneumonia. To address this you should lose weight if you are overweight and see your doctor for medical treatment.

Depends on size: other symptoms, and lab work.  But if your doctor is not concerned about cancer, I think you are ok.

No, not really: Erosions are common and heal on their own as they tend to be benign. You are too young to have Cancer. yet you should get your pap test done every 2-3 years and also check for HPV infection as you get close to 30 years of age

Sore armpit: If that persists and if you are worried- go to see your gp to have a good exams. It could be from different causes- including -muskuloskeletal pain, or perhaps inflammation from the sweat glands- then causing reactive lymph node irritation that is located deep inside, vs other inflammation etc.  Since you are 57 years old-if you have not updated your mammogram this year-then you should get one.

Not a problem: This is not a problem and is not related to cancer. Don't worry.

i get hoarse 1 -2 times per yr. cortisone fixes it. last 6 months has happened 3 times. am scared of cancer. does cortisone stop cancer symptoms?

Not likely: If the hoarseness were from cancer it would not go away even with cortisone treatment. You should consult your doctor to avoid further damage. If you smoke or use tobacco in any form, quit while you are ahead.

No significant risk: Moderation in every thing you do to your body is the key to a healthy lifestyle. There is no significant risk in occasional x-ray or use of skin/hair dyes as long as the dyes are properly labeled and you read the label carefully

Worrying does not: Help. Ct scans do expose a person to radiation but also provide useful information and on balance are useful tests. There is no need to be scared as that will not change anything anyway.
