In addition, your skin color, the size and specific location of the scar on the nasal tip, and age of scar may influence your options for treatment. Options include light  or laser therapy, injections, excision of scar.

Hydroquinone: One of the most effective treatments for "skin stains", or darkening of the skin after acne, is hydroquinone. Some formulations contain glycolic acid, which help as well. It often takes 6 or more weeks to see any improvement.
