However, if large clots/ masses  are palpated or skin is broken where you have been struck and there is possible secondary infection - then medical assessment is may be prudent. Hematoma: The venipuncture for blood draw leaked and caused a hematoma outside of the vein or in the vein wall or both and this will heal in most cases without any consequences. I recommend ice in the first 2 days, several times a day (15 min each time) and switch to topical heat on day 3-4 and take ibuprofen as tolerated.

Important to continue to follow your MD's advice about Eliquis to prevent another blood clot. Elevate your legs to help prevent swelling &amp; discomfort.

: Usually when the skin is not pierced we leave the wound alone so it’s not to create  an infection. However if this is giving you trouble difficulty wearing shoes then utilizing a sterile needle might be utilized to drain the bubble. After which I would using topical antibiotic ointment and cover it with a Band-Aid or dressing. I would apply the antibiotic and dressings until healed

Struggle ?: Your meaning is not clear but could relate to some of disease process? Does this mean you are dropping things and are very weak? Or are you trying to do strength training in the hands? The veins might rupture if you are putting excessive pressure on your hands. See you doctor for further advice.

AIR EMBOLISM: Small amounts of air often enter the circulation inadvertently during surgery or other medical procedures.  An example would be an air bubble entering an IV line.  Most of these air bubbles are benign and are stopped at the lungs.  If a large vein such as the internal jugular is ruptered, say from trauma or a procedure, air may enter the vein.
