Pelvic pain: You could have recurrent cysts,  recurrent endometriosis, adhesions, hernia, etc...Causing pain. I would recommend following up with your physician for a complete history and physical examination.

Seek Evaluation: R side abdominal pain in female could be ovary relation, but also appendicitis, or kidney stones.  Appendicitis needs immediate attention.

been on low dose birth control after a u/s showed a ovarian cyst ruptured. this was in nov 2018. been having pain recently after years of no pain and on the pill. can low dose birth control prevent cysts & fibroids too? how fast do fibroids develop?

: Birth control pills may reduce the risk of ovarian cysts a little bit. Ovarian cysts are very common though. Birth control pills do not impact the formation of uterine fibroids.

does fibroids cause groin pain on both sides or would more likely be a ovarian cyst that ruptured or leaking? i been having pain in groin only and some pain in my hip. i called doc and theyre scheduling a u/s next week. thank u. im 40?

Safe:yes, effctv:no: Every surgical procedure has risks associated with it (for d&c: perforation, infection, scarring inside the uterus, bleeding, potential weakening of cervix). They are rare for d&c's. But more importantly: they do not typically fix the problem of heavy periods. They can improve things for a few months, but the underlying problem (fibroid/hormone imbalance) doesn't go away. Need to look at other txs.

Yes: Part of the procedure , also to asses status of endometrium and to rule out malignancy, .
