Rhinitis etiologies: If short time may still be viral. If long term or recurrent consider allergic or chronic non-allergic rhinitis. If recently started a medication such as a beta blocker may be a side effect.

Time: There is no real value in any of the "cough or cold" products in kids his age. They give you something to do, but the kid is better served by not facing side effects of the meds. Good nutrition, fluids and rest work wonders.

Allergies: It sounds like you may have some allergies. I suggest trying an antihistamine like claritin (loratadine) or zyrtec  (cetirizine) before bed and see if that helps. If not your doctor may be able to prescribe a nasal steroid for you to try. If they antihistamines do not help please see a doctor.

Long flu: U may have developed a bacterial or viral pneumonia on top of the influenza. If you're still having symptoms, especially difficulty breathing, see fp for evaluation, possible chest radiograph (x-ray) & treatment based on findings. Be sure to get annual influenza vaccine & the pneumonia vaccine if u haven't already had it.

Nasal congestion : that is watery or clear is either caused by allergy or a condition called vasomotor rhinitis.  Nasal allergies benefit from oral antihistamines and steroid nasal spray medications.  Vasomotor rhinitis may benefit from the same medication, but another nasal medication, ipratropium, may be more helpful.  If secretions are consistently thick, a sinus infection is possible. Temperature: You may have influenza infection or another viral infection. If you develop a fever, COVID 19 testing is recommended. Stay home, rest, drink fluids and monitor your temperature.

Infant with fever: should most certainly be checked. Children tend to spike very high temperature in response to low grade viral infections and also teething.I suggest pediatric evaluation.
