what are your thoughts on running a marathon with a cold?   this will be my first one and have trained really hard for the past 21 weeks.   race is this sunday i'm on day 7 of the cold stuffy nose and cough

See doctor...: See your doctor asap. Whether or not you can run a marathon in a few days will depend on the severity of your symptoms and whether or not they can be controlled sufficiently by sunday. For example, if you have only mild nasal congestion that may be treatable allowing you to run but if your oxygen level is low at rest, it may not be under adequate control by sunday to allow you to run. See doctor!

It's risky: And probably not advisable considering the information you've shared. Injuries are common if vigorous activity is started abruptly and not preceded by stretching. How about a walk?

Slowly, good shoes: Invest in proper shoes. See the running store and talk with trail runners.You will run more slowly and your gait will be different.You will likely walk up some hills, as the time lost is minimal and the energy saved is a plus. Always pay attention-those rocks and roots come up out of nowhere. Wear road i.D. And let people know where you are going. Group is best. Carry food/fluid/phone.Gloves help.

Hangover and running: Many problems can occur.  Alertness and coordination may be effected so a fall or injury may result.  Also a hangover is usually associated with dehydration, and a 10k race can add to this and cause severe problems with dehydration and complications that can be serious and even lethal.

Holy Cow!: That is fast. Consider working with a trainer who has a lot of expertise if you want to be faster than that.

Plan : Sorry hearing this. Let's try analgesic suppository today and tomorrow. And use Tylenol tomorrow for help 2 tab every 4-6 h. And lubricant as well. Good luck.

i ran 7.37km today. an hour after running i felt very nauseous. it was not my first time race. what could be the cause of the nausea?

Dehydration?: First, you need to rule out organic causes of nausea like gastrointestinal issues, food poisoning etc. If none, then it might be due to dehydration or hydration with fluids other than plain water

my daughter was at her sorts day running her race then all off a sudden she doubled over with a pain in her thigh. she is limping badly with pain?

Pain: If she still has that pain after her issue while racing she must see an Orthopedic specialist!

i started running 4 months ago. just recently i started having pain in my groin/thigh (also outer thigh close to my pelvis) in both legs. this pain won't allow me to run anymore. when i try, i "limp run". i have a 5k race in 2w so i'm devastated. :(?

Hip problem: It sounds like you may have developed a hip problem. Hip pain is often referred (transferred) to the groin. It may be from some misalignment or poor running shoes or technique. See an orthopedist that specializes in sports medicine for the best evaluation and treatment. There is very likely a way to correct this problem.
